Bug 660 | Control Modules support new 'RecordStop' action| This command is sent when record devices need to stop recording. Needed for Case 1212. Bug 1212 | The TCD/IP does not stop the TCD RP properly| When recording and playing with a TCD/IP, sending a stop to a player would also send a stop to the record. This has been resolved by adding a 'RecordStop' event, which only stops the record. Bug 1403 | Spelling mistake on Autopilot screen| Bug 1404 | DVF07 Not Jumping with Menu'd Disks| Bug 1415 | Sending Autopilot doesn't Say "Sent Successfully"| In some cases, a successful autopilot send wasn't reported as such. Bug 1480 | Event list handling in control modules is inefficient| Sending autopilot for long durations of schedule could cause the send to time out. Bug 1567 | Cue times can cause misleading results when sending back to back shows| Video servers would often wind up bumping shows when it didn't need to, and assigning them to a single server output. Bug 1620 | Errant messages on the Autopilot send report screen| Bug 1641 | Schedule-based plugins don't generate the correct range of schedule| Some didn't take bump times into account, and others generated schedule as far into the future as possible. Release Notes for Cablecast
4.5.5
Bug 1149 | Run count in Show Search is inaccurate for multi-reel shows| A simple division miscalulation was yielding an incorrect number of runs in the search results. Bug 1231 | ExtronMAVPlusCM doesn't lock the serial port on send| If two switch commands were sent back to back from the Autopilot menu, the second will fail because the first was still trying to get the router status information. They effectively "ran over" each other. We now require that an entire command is completed before a second command can be sent. Bug 1241 | DSK uses updated ChyTV Tool version 3.3| Updated the ChyTV libraries to the latest version. This will hopefully fix some stability issues with the ChyTV. Bug 1281 | Cablecast Public Site shows two duplicate Channels in the list| The default database had an extraneous row, resulting in two links on the public site. This is now fixed for new installations, but existing installations will need to manually remove the extra row. Bug 1283 | iCal plugin will throw an error if a scheduled show has no reels/length| The plugin was assuming that certain show information would be present, and failing if it wasn't. We no handle that case more gracefully. Bug 1306 | Serial communications library occasionally left data incomplete| Sometimes our serial library didn't write all data to the devices. This lead to strange behavior as commands were left incomplete. We changed the library to ensure that *all* data is written to the serial port. Bug 1313 | Updated 422 control module to use TRMS code and not 3rd party library | We used to rely on a third-party library to control 422 devices, which lead to problems because it was difficult to tell what it was doing. We now have our own 422 library. Bug 1338 | Timing and command syntax problems with SierraCM| Our control module wasn't waiting long enough for Sierra routers to respond. Additionally, some Sierra routers return a command syntax that we weren't expecting. Now, we give them more time to respond, and we parse the new command syntax correctly. Bug 1354 | Kramer2000CM attempts to use a config setting that is null by default| The .config file didn't come with a crucial setting by default. The setting is now included. Bug 1384 | New VelaArgus200CM for Vela Argus 200/250-based encoders| -
Release Notes for Cablecast
4.5.4
Bug 384 | Errors after an Autopilot send aren't very helpful| Bug 636 | "Not sent to hardware" Autopilot wording can be misleading| If you choose to not send events to hardware, a stronger message appears on the autopilot report screen reminding you that this was a effectively a "test" send--no events were sent to your devices. Bug 937 | Autopilot does not clear out the event list when no schedule is sent| If autopilot had previously sent events to a device, and you later modify your schedule such that the device now has NO events, resending autopilot would not clear out the events for the device. This would cause the device to play, for example, even if the router never switched to it. Now, autopilot clears out all old events for all devices before sending new events. Bug 957 | Autiopilot does not update Control Modules if there are no events to send| Bug 1051 | New Control Module Host names are confusing| Instead of being named "localhost," new Control Module Hosts are named "New Control Module Host" so they aren't confused with existing hosts. Bug 1052 | Viewing Control Module logfiles is confusing in the CM Hosts screen| Viewing logs has now been moved to the Control Module Sets page, where it makes a bit more sense. Bug 1062 | DVDImport ignores dB adjustments for LPCM audio encoded discs| LPCM encoded discs now support normalization and dB adjustments. However, LPCM does not support dynamic compression. Bug 1065 | Poor error handling and database connection handling in WebService & Public site| Cleaned up resource usage and error handling in an effort to make the public site more efficient. Bug 1075 | Feeder locations are taking back to their default inputs too early| A small delay was added to feeder location switching to ensure that primary locations switches back before the feeder location switches. Bug 1079 | Manual Events are not included in the Extras items| Manual events are now included in the Print Schedule, RSS Schedule, Web Schedule, and iCal Schedule. Bug 1152 | SierraSVS Control Module now supports Level-based switching| There is an entry in the .config file to set which levels to switch. Bug 1206 | Autopilot improperly bumps multi-reel shows on video servers| Autopilot now ignores any errant jump duration settings for video servers. Bug 1208 | Autopilot improperly bumps shows on some devices if the runs are too close together| Autopilot now properly assigns devices when the lead time (wake time + jump time + load time) has a conflict and another device is available. Bug 1214 | Batch functions ignore CGExempt settings| Batch functions now adhere to a show's CGExempt setting. Bug 1216 | Removing shows from Schedule doesn't mark Schedule as modified| Removing shows from schedule now flags the Schedule as out-of-date, reminding you to send autopilot to commit the changes to the hardware

Clicking the "import" button now cancels the preview if it is running. Bug 922 | When making a new project, if there is no producer selected an error is thrown| Producer selection is now interpreted properly before sending the information to the database. Bug 923 | Several areas of the public website need better error handling| Simple error handling was added. Work will continue on this issue in case 1065. Bug 924 | Leftover VS1Helper.exe in the Control modules directory| Our build scripts weren't building the right set of projects. Bug 938 | Communication between the TCD-IP and its RPs is extremely slow| TCD-IP now caches the RP's file list instead of querying the TCD-IP on each and every request Bug 942 | Autopatch BCS CM does not show up in the available Control Modules list| The CM wasn't properly added to our project files. Bug 943 | Control Module threads throw an error when stopped| The event log would fill up with "Thread Aborted" errors whenever the Device Control Service was stopped. Bug 990 | Spelling error on About screen| "Tightrope" is now spelled correctly. Yikes. Bug 1010 | New Leitch RS12A Control Module| - Bug 1011 | New Ross AVM Series Control Module| - Bug 1028 | DVD Import doesn't handle end of segments in MPEG stream| The importer would crash if it hit an end of segment in the mpeg stream during multiplexing. It now ignores end of segments and continues to write data to the original output file. Bug 1053 | Added VSX Server notification app to the system tray| The Status of the VSX is now shown in the system tray. This also fixes a problem with running DirectShow graphs under the Windows service account.
