How to win the internet with the new Cablecast Public Site

At Tightrope, we love creating a good shortcut and our latest version of Cablecast is filled with them. The one that’s been getting the most buzz is the newly re-designed public web content pages, because what broadcaster doesn’t want the shortcut to having an awesome website that is automatically populated with all the latest content on your channel? Safe to assume no hands are raised at this point?

Configuring these pages is a breeze and can be done right within the System Settings of the web-based Cablecast UI (referred to as your ‘public site’ in the UI). Tell Cablecast what lists to play and it will dynamically update with your program schedule, live stream, and on-demand videos. This means that when you schedule a program to air on your channel, you can just click save and call it a day. Cablecast does the rest.

You can also easily brand your web content pages from within the Cablecast UI. Customize the colors and logos to your brand, add social media links, customize your video playlist views and more.

To see it all in action, take a look at what our friends in Edison, NJ are doing with their web content pages.

Our friends at Wayzata Community Television have also taken advantage of the customizable branding options that come in the latest version of Cablecast. Their only web presence used to be tied in with the City website, but thanks to Cablecast, they direct their web content pages to their Wayzata TV domain, and bam! New dynamic website in no time, headaches not included.
