Re-ordering of blocks in Carousel 5.2
Here’s a real life example of how a new feature in Carousel can improve the legibility of text in a bulletin.
We start with our master RSS template, choose our background, and we get this:

Notice how the text becomes washed out towards the bottom of the screen. This will happen almost always when you’re dealing with different shades and gradients.
To fix it, we use a very simple feature of Carousel 5.2 – buy it if you don’t have it. I added a rectangle block, decreased the opacity to 40%, and sent it to the back of the list. What?! Sent it back to the list? You can do that?
Yep. Just add and edit the block like normal – then send it behind all your text so you can read clearly. Do this by clicking the “move back” button, located on the far right of the “select block” field. Re-ordering blocks in Carousel. Awesome.

Much better! Just another example of how simple, subtle, yet very functional new features in Carousel 5.2 rock my world.
