Carousel 5.2: Webpage Snapshots

We have introduced a new feature into Carousel 5.2 called Webpage Snapshots. This allows you to capture a webpage (or portion of) and display it in a bulletin. Here’s how it works:

Select a new bulletin that has a “Web Picture” block in it. For more information on Web pictures please refer to the Carousel user guide.

Next, click “Select webpage” next to the web picture block.

Step_2_2

Enter a web page you would like to take a snapshot of…

Step_3_2

If you would like, you can crop a portion of that webpage.

Step_4_2

Click the finish button at the bottom and you are done! The web snapshot will update in Carousel every 15 minutes, so the data on that page will always be up to date.

question: Will it be possible to in the future have a shorter refresh rate, say, 10 seconds or so?
The reason is this would serve showing weather radar as a page in a weather series for Carousel BB play rotations.

Tom, this article tells you how. You can only update once a minute.
