New Monitor Control Application for Carousel

We are pleased to announce the release of a new product in the digital signage lineup: The Carousel Monitor Control application!

Monitorcontrol Most digital signage systems include several flat panel displays installed throughout the facility. Getting the most out of those units is critical, not only because they are expensive, but the job of servicing them takes time and money as well. They may be spread throughout multiple buildings and in hard to reach places. That is why Tightrope Media Systems developed an easy to use and extremely cost effective application that controls the power of displays used in Carousel digital signage installations.

The Carousel Monitor Control application is installed on any Carousel Solo or Player and it controls the monitors’ power by sending commands through a serial port or by manipulating the power saving feature of most flat screen displays. Two schedules mean that you can accommodate weekend and weekday traffic and they operate on a seven day cycle. Once you set it up you can let it run and forget about it!

For installations that use unshielded twisted pair (UTP) video distribution, the application works perfectly, even providing for control over multiple monitors at the same time from one Player or Solo!

It is available today from any Tightrope Media Systems Authorized Carousel Dealer as part number CAR-MONCTRL and must be purchased for every Player or Solo that needs the feature.

The Carousel Monitor Control application is the easiest and most cost
effective way to protect the flat panel investment in your Carousel
digital signage system!
