Tips & Tricks

Throughout the Carousel framework you will find pre-defined formats within all of the templates. Depending on your background and color choice, changing these defaults can sometimes end up giving you poor results. Follow these tips and tricks to ensure your bulletins look their best!

FONTS

  1. Limit the number of fonts you use per bulletin.
  2. Choose fonts that are bold.
  3. Limit the amount of text per bulletin.
  4. Avoid using a drop shadow and an outline at the same time.

COLOR

  1. Avoid vibrant colors, they tend to be harder to read.
  2. Choose colors that compliment each other.
  3. Make sure the color chosen for your font stands out against the background color.

ZONES
Carousel allows you to display multiple zones on your screen at the same time, ensuring your audience is well informed. Follow these guides to guarantee your zones look their best.

  1. Too many zones can end up looking too busy, choose your zones wisely and choose them according to your viewers. (stick to 6 or less, depending on your layout)
  2. When creating your zones, make sure the aspect ratio of the zone matches the aspect ratio of the background. If they are not the same you will end up with stretched or squeezed looking zones.
