Creating A Clock Bulletin

I’m sure you all know that you can create a dynamic clock bulletin through Carousel, but did you know you can replace the TRMS clock with your own? This exercise will help you create your very own custom clock.

  1. Open up Photoshop.
  2. Assuming that your bulletin zone for your clock is going to be 330 x 211pixels, create a document with those dimensions.
  3. Fill in your background with whatever color or pattern you like.
  4. With your Elliptical Marquee tool, draw a circle, fill it with color using your paint bucket and place it in the center of your document. (It’s very important that your circle is dead center)
  5. Save your file as a jpg.
  6. Open up Carousel and upload your clock background into your clock zone. (Make sure you are in the correct zone, click on media, backgrounds, add, browse for your file and upload it)
  7. When you’re ready to create your clock bulletin go to: New Bulletin, Dynamic, Clock Bulletin and choose the background you uploaded.
