Cablecast 4.7 Released
It’s been so busy here at TRMS that I completely forgot to announce
the release of what we’ve been working on for so long! (Better late
than never, I guess?) In any case, we’re extremely excited to bring you the next release of Cablecast, version 4.7.
There are a ton of cool new things in this release (the full release notes can be found after the jump), but I’d like to call out two features in particular:
Drag and Drop Scheduling
Everything we do in Cablecast is designed to save you time, and the new scheduling interface meets this goal in a huge way. Search your entire show library directly from the schedule interface. When you find a show, simply drag it into the desired time slot. One-click CG exempt. Very hot.
Words don’t do this justice. For a better feel, please checkout this screencast I made for one of the beta releases.
Cablecast SX Video Servers
Cablecast 4.7 is the first version designed to work seamlessly with our new SX series video servers. If you haven’t seen these things yet, you really should give us a call and check ‘em out. Here’s a rundown of the three models:
The big boy. A four channel multi-format video server with 2 recording inputs, and 4 terabytes of RAID storage. SDI or analog for inputs and outputs. Comes with Cablecast and Carousel. Yow.
Two output multi-format video server with one recording input. 2 terabytes of RAID storage, Cablecast and Carousel bundled inside, and just like its big brother, features both SDI and analog input/output.
The little guy, but he packs a punch for an unbeatable price. 2-output, 1-input multi-format video server with 500 gigabytes of storage and the full Cablecast & Carousel package. SDI input/output available as an option.
If you’ve been looking at getting into the digital video server game, now is the time. Give us a shout and we’ll answer any questions you have. Read on for info on obtaining the new release, plus full release notes.
As always, to request this update please email our support team at support@trms.com. In your email, please include the following items:
We won’t be able to issue an update until we have a registration form on file. If you have any questions, please let us know!
